GENEVER "THE MOTHER OF GIN" IS ORIGINALLY FROM HOLLAND AND IS A SPIRIT PRODUCED ON THE BASIS OF grain mash (actually BEER) THE so called "MALT WINE". THIS DISTILLATE the "MALT WINE" is afterwards united with the destillate from the HERBS, FRUITS AND SPICES (technically DRY GIN).
THE RELATIONSHIP OF MALT WINE TO GIN, AND AN EVENTUAL STORAGE HAS NATURAL INFLUENCE FROM THE TASTE. in general barley, malt, rye AND WHEATS ARE USED FOR THE MALT WINE.
